Abstract

The teaching difficulties for the inclusion of students with vision impairment in the classroom is frequent in the practice of teachers, requiring possibilities that seek to minimize this fact. Based on this, this case seeks to present a pedagogical plan for teaching Geography, using the 3D printer as a pedagogical resource for a student with visual impairment. From this school context, the question arises: what actions could the Geography teacher Cláudia (pseudonym) have developed to provide the inclusion of the specificities of a student with visual impairment and her classmates in the lesson planning, and which contributions can this inclusive planning contribute to the teaching and learning process in the 6th grade of elementary school? Starting from this questioning, the work aims to develop a lesson plan for a class of the 6th year of the final years of Elementary School, based on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL), using the 3D printer to include students with visual impairments. For this, a lesson plan was built and then the teaching material was customized on the 3D printer, seeking to create representations of the proposed content. The case can be used in the curricular components of Special Education, Didactics, Teaching Geography in the initial teacher education and continuing professional development.
