Abstract

This study aimed to review the scientific evidence about health care strategies for women deprived of liberty. It is an integrative review. The guiding question was formulated by the acronym PICO. Articles were selected from searches in the Database in Nursing (BDENF), Latin American & Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science and in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). Controlled descriptors were used. Inclusion criteria were studies on the health of women deprived of liberty in three languages. The exclusion criteria were review articles, case studies, duplicate studies, monographs, letters to the editor and pre-publications (Preprints). After collection, data were organized using the Rayyan Intelligent Systematic Review (Rayyan) software. The construction of an integral support network with several professionals provides greater advice and encouragement for health care regardless of the situation. Faced with this reality, strategies related to playfulness and socialization are convenient paths to be followed to promote and protect the health of women in imprisonment.
