The importance of the multidisciplinary team in health education about STI’S in adolescents

The present study aimed to identify in the scientific literature the importance of the multidisciplinary team in carrying out practical educational activities for the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections in adolescents. This is an integrative review. The guiding question was formulated by the acronym PICO. The following databases were used as data sources: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and Science Direct. The final sample consisted of 17 articles, after their selection, the information regarding this step was organized using the Rayyan Intelligent Systematic Review software. It was found that continuing education and the family are viable strategies to fill the gaps in the knowledge of adolescents about sexually transmitted infections, contributing to the dissemination of correct information about prevention, favoring health education. Therefore, the professionals of the multidisciplinary team are important instruments to meet the demands of adolescents with regard to the reduction of risky sexual behavior.
