Abstract

Considering that early childhood education is a recent field of discussions in our country and that early childhood occupies a fundamental space in the development of a child, this work seeks to value pedagogical practices related to the contact of the little ones with environments and natural elements. Children are powerful beings and it is essential that the school pays attention to them to ensure their integral development. Based on this principle, it is possible to perceive that children are avid explorers and like to observe and interact with everything around them, so this work seeks to recognize and highlight the importance of environments and natural elements in daily life and in school practices of a kindergarten school, to expand interactions, enrich pedagogical practices and offer possibilities for discovery and imagination. Aiming to identify the environments and natural elements present in an early childhood education institution and, consequently, discuss their educational possibilities.
