Since the cancellation of the series 1899, released on Netflix, this text discusses changes in the way of making and consuming cinema, understanding the culture of attention deficit as a key point of the modern project and its liquidity. It debates the dilution of imaginative capacity and concentration as an inherent support for the present time, whose regime of speed and uninterrupted stimulation modifies being, doing and becoming. It presents serial fiction narratives because of human's ancestral pleasure in enjoying listening to stories, but it argues that the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic process may have heightened the instantaneity and fluidity in the linearity of watching and listening. It discusses the daily life of “image shock” and the consequences of this today.
