Dictatorships and their spaces of repression"
Dictatorship is an authoritarian form of government present throughout human history. Characterized by a governmental regime in which all the powers of the state are centralized in a single leader or leader's group, as well by the suppression of individual freedoms. Furthermore, the survival of authoritarian government results in suppressing everything that is considered a possible threat to its existence, so that it directly affects the most diverse society's spaces.
Scope of the Espacialidades periodic, the relation between History and Spaces compose one of the varied fields of inquiry of historical praxis, so this dossier has the purpose of provoking the discussions about dictatorships and their reflexes in the constitution of what we treat as "spaces of repression" . In short, we intend to rediscover the history of dictatorships beyond their temporal conjunctures, but also by perceiving their spatial conjunctures and, consequently, repercussions in reality, then in history.
Thus, the researches that develop approaches on dictatorship and its relations, dilemmas, representation and imaginary with the different space scopes, especially the spaces of repression will be welcomed.
Contributions will also be accepted in the form of a review, interview, sources, translations and abstracts of theses and dissertations, as well as articles with different themes to compose the free session of Volume 15, nº 1 of the Journal.
