The sack of Rome by the Visigoths, in 410 AD constitutes an important event in the process of disintegration of the Western Roman Empire. Its importance greatly resides in the symbolism implied in the "fall of the Mistress of the Natiosn". This event was appropriated by the Goths, becoming part of their historical identity. In this work, we will analyse the visions about the taking of the city, in the works of two Late Antiquity writers related to the Goths. The first is Jordanes, of gothic origin, that wrote in the sixth-century Constantinople. The second is Isidore, bishop of Seville, the main name of Visigothic Kingdom episcopat.
