The rural population was representing the countryside like an extensive world witch would be difficult for the power of the public laws. This conception did that places a good way for the bandits, who was important for keeping a traditional politician order, far from the modern institutions. In according with Eric Hobsbawm (2010), the banditry had been endemic when the modernization happens, in that moment it was a legal instrument, which defended that it wasn’t accepted for the public rules, but it wasn’t state power strong enough for to combat the banditry. It shows the changes and the continues which happened in this societies. The banditry still exists for a longtime, but the liberty of the cangaceiros changed and in its place appears the disguise of the thieves of horses.
