Having as the object the film Aquarius (2016), this research explores the concept of space, place, attachment to place, territoriality by of means the struggle of the protagonist Clara, in the face of the advances of real estate speculation that reached the city of Recife-PE. The movie analysis shows that the Aquarius Building, as a "place", was a consequence from the relations of space and her perceptions of it. The protagonist's attachment to the building was the foundation for materializing territoriality as a sentiment of belonging and the reason why she resisted to Bonfim Construction's Company persistent offensives.
