The Great Flu chronicles the Spanish flu pandemic that occurred in 1918, describing how a small virus emerged within the United States to cause the deaths of millions of people worldwide. The author presents the transformation experienced by science and medicine, offers reports on the first world war and the backstage of power and politics that influence the limitation of man in the face of force to nature.
