This research analyses student drawings about the Contestado War (1912-1916), to think of them as experimental (or unconventional) historical narratives. The drawings are from a 2020 competition, in Lebón Régis-SC, carried out by a partnership between social movements, schools and city hall. The revolutionary caboclos of the Contestado War are a living memory in the region. In this sense, would such school drawings be expressions with historiographical content? To what extent can they help to broaden the concept of history?
