Abstract

This article is the result of the master's research Dance-song: The nyaneka ritualistic songs in the recreations of Bimphadidefended in the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts at UFRN. Starting from an empirical methodology of an experimental nature, we proposed the deconstruction of the forms of European theater, imposed on Angolan actors by the colonizer, and we sought our own path, based on our experiences and our culture. From the practical research carried out by the Bimphadi Group, we found that the dance-songs, resulting from Nyaneka cultural manifestations, bring with them spectacular elements that can be given new meaning in the body-vocal preparation of the Angolan actor.
