Introduction: Texto The improvement of dental esthetics through restorative methods, such as veneers, not only enhances the smile, but also boosts self-esteem and benefits social interactions. Gingivoplasty, by correcting the gingival contour, enhances the esthetic outcomes of composite resin veneers, significantly transforming the patient’s smile. Objective: To present, through a clinical case report, the smile transformation of a young patient involving multidisciplinary planning between Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Case Report: A patient sought dental treatment following complaints about the esthetics of his smile. The patient presented unsatisfactory composite resin veneers and disharmonious gingival contours. Both anamnesis and case planning were conducted, starting with basic periodontal treatment, followed by gingivectomy in teeth 13 to 23. Supervised at-home dental bleaching was conducted using 10% hydrogen peroxide for 25 days. Seven days after completing the bleaching, the removal of the unsatisfactory composite resin veneers was performed using carbide burs at low rotation. Subsequently, new composite resin procedures were executed using the Âmbar Universal adhesive (FGM) and the DA1 and BLL-E Empress Direct resins (Dentsply Sirona), with the Trans – Forma resin (Ultradent) being used for the palaal surface. Following this, occlusal adjustment was carried out using spherical diamond burs, followed by finishing and polishing using abrasive discs and rubber points (TDV and American Burrs). Conclusions: Integration between specialties and an in-depth analysis of the key components that determine smile esthetics are essential pillars for achieving high-quality clinical outcomes, directly reflecting patient satisfaction and promoting their quality of life.
