Geotechnology as support in identifying the form of relief –Tableland, inthe state of Rio Grande do Norte-Brazil.

O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar no estado do Rio Grande do Norte a forma de relevo – Chapada, utilizando a geotecnologia como suporte. Para isso, foram utilizados o mapeamento geomorfológico do Projeto RADAM (1981) das folhas SB.24/25 - Jaguaribe/Natal, escala 1:1.000.000 e imagens do Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), como base na análise dos parâmetros estabelecidos pela Resolução CONAMA 303/2002. Os primeiros resultados identificaram 16 áreas, a partir do Projeto RADAM, onde após o uso das imagens SRTM de resolução espacial de 30 metros e ferramentas de geoprocessamento para a análise dos parâmetros: área, altitude, superfície plana e borda escarpada foram identificadas 4 áreas com as características preconizadas pela legislação vigente.
