360-degree assessment: is it a tool to implement a diversity management?

Abstract

Based on real experiences that authors lived, this case aims to discuss the 360-degree assessment and has as a dilemma the decision to use it as a tool to implement a diversity management or searching other tools for such implementation. The main character of the case is the director, Rosana. It addresses the impasse of implementing a 360-degree assessment, taking actions for minimizing behavioral biases and automatization of processes, without expected impacts on improving diversity. The background literature to understand the current situation of the company and guide the decision of the dilemma is that of performance evaluation and cognitive psychology.
