Fatores associados ao estresse percebido elevado em universitários do Acre durante a pandemia de COVID-19

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar fatores associados ao estresse percebido elevado em estudantes universitários do Acre durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Metodologia: O estudo teve desenho transversal, com coleta de dados de estresse percebido entre estudantes universitários, de setembro de 2020 a março de 2021, e dados sobre variáveis demográficas, socioeconômicas, acadêmicas, de saúde, estilo de vida. Foi usada a versão brasileira da escala de estresse percebido de 10 itens, sendo o desfecho estresse elevado, definido como o tercil superior da escala de estresse percebido. Resultados e discussões: Participaram do estudo 699 estudantes universitários, a maioria com 20 a 29 anos de idade. O estresse percebido elevado foi relatado por 32,5% dos estudantes; as variáveis associadas a esse desfecho foram autoavaliação negativa e regular do estado de saúde durante a pandemia; ter entre 17 a 19 anos ou de 20 a 29 anos e ser do sexo feminino, ter mudado de endereço e ter passado por diminuição de renda durante a pandemia. Conclusões: A retomada das atividades presenciais deve considerar ações de apoio à saúde mental dos universitários para planejamento de intervenções futuras.
