This article discusses how the dynamics of occupation of the public space and the diversity of movements of urban occupation of some large cities in the face of the growth of neoliberal thought on the process of organization of the economy, the relation of the economy with the State, relationship with the economy and society. It also discusses how the construction of a neoliberal state intervenes in urban policies and their consequences in the organization, planning and management of cities. It seeks to analyze in detail the social practices of the region called Baixo Centro in Belo Horizonte / MG.
