Abstract

The whole Maranhão's literary work was dedicated to the city of Russas and its people. The author's writing will be investigated as a memory constructor, resulting a formulator meanings writing to the past and to the spatialities, a fictional art trying to be able to "give time to the space". This article aims to analyze the conception of time in this russano writer work and comprehend its uses in the practice of writing in which aimed endow a space - his "homeclod"- of a inscripption in history.It'll be analyzed also the Maranhãos's relations in the "artistic field" which was part of and the uses he did- in the literary form - from "fantastic"to create memories for the space.
