This research aimed the study of the material cultural heritage of the historic center of the city of Cajazeiras, specifically, the fallen building by the Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage of the State of Paraíba - IPHAEP. The theoretical- methodological perspective of this work is guided by concepts of Cultural History such as: memory, identity and representation because we understand the heritage of Cajazeiras beyond the cold materiality of the walls and stones. Therefore, bibliographical sources were analyzed – academic researches and memoir books, documentary – photographs, as well as field observation. As a final product of this research, a website was built for documenting records on the History of Cajazeiras, becoming a relevant tool for the proposal of heritage education
