This article analyzes the statuettes of Serapis through Ian Hodder's theory of entanglement, which explores the dynamic relationship between material objects and humans. Hodder suggests that objects, like the Serapis statuettes, possess their own agency, influencing and being influenced by social and cultural interactions. The statuettes, representing an Egyptian and Greek deity, were used in domestic rituals, particularly on private altars, reflecting the importance of religion in daily life.
