This paper presents some notes on the participation of Francisco Hurtz, a brazilian artist from São Paulo, in the contemporary public debate on the history of masculinities. Based on the serialization and analysis of his works that focus on male bodies as objects of deconstruction and reinterpretation from a queer perspective, we investigate the development of a critical look at the historical processes of construction of white, cisgender, heterosexual masculinity as an identity norm. Thus, we consider that the circulation of the artist's work in exhibitions and social networks acquires the status of a visual platform for public history, contributing significantly to public debates on the history of masculinities from a queer perspective.
