experiência colaborativa na história pública da Escola de Samba Balanço do Morro (1966-2024)

This work aims to analyze the implications of a public history experience, based on the methodology of oral history and the collaborative construction of historical narratives. It is based on the partial results of the extension project developed in the Oral History class offered in the undergraduate course in History at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in 2024. The proposal met a demand from the community of Bairro das Rocas, considered the birthplace of samba from Natal, but which is still little used in reflections regarding studies on culture in Rio Grande do Norte.
