Linguística Funcional Centrada no Uso: teoria, método e aplicação

Abstract

In this text, we aim to present the special number of Odisseia Journal 2022, organized to house texts focused on the most recent research trends in Cognitive-Functional Linguistics. At first, we start from the contextualization of this linguistic perspective in the Brazilian academic scenario, succinctly explaining its theoretical assumptions and analytical categories. We contemplate conceptual and methodological aspects that functionalist researchers started to deal with due to the incorporation of postulates and operational concepts of Construction Grammar. Finally, we describe the papers that make up this dossier, which focus both on reflection and/or discussion of theoretical and methodological issues and on the application of this functionalist bias to the description and analysis of Portuguese.
