Introduction: Oral health education has an important impact on CAPS AD users' awareness. The nature of substance abuse, licit or illicit, has a devastating effect on the oral tissues and damage to quality of life. Objective: The objective of this paper is to describe a game building workshop to promote oral health care at CAPS AD at Caicó/RN. Methodology: The game building workshop took place during May 2019 at the residents' experience of the EMCM/UFRN Multiprofessional Primary Care Residency Program at CAPS AD. The activity was conducted by the resident dentist and used the space of handicraft workshops, which were part of the service routine. Results: Four educational games were produced and a board with oral hygiene guidelines, which remained available to the users of the service. Conclusions: This activity, besides being an opportunity for creative leisure, can help the fixation of oral health education contents that are addressed within the game, encourages discussion on the topic and encourages self-care, reinforcing and guiding good hygiene practices.
