STRATEGIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND CLEANER PRODUCTION IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
Abstract
In recent decades the theme around the issues that permeate the environment constituted one of the important issues in the many discussions in the context of organizations. In this sense, the goal of this research focuses on identifying the business strategies adopted by the managers of the construction sector in the city of Campina Grande, PB, in relation to environmental quality and cleaner production. Therefore, we conducted an exploratory and descriptive, using a structured questionnaire with a sample of 41 companies a total of 67 organizations. The type of sampling used was non-probabilistic and accessibility. The results show the most common strategies in getting the P + L, among them, employee training and technological improvement. However, most of the respondents did not use any technique P + L. Regarding treatment of production waste was identified that are being allocated to the city dump. Only one company uses treatment of rubble in landscape design, notwithstanding the most important strategy used by managers was constructive rationalization. With these results we can infer and recognize that the strategies adopted by the managers of the studied require a reset, since the level of competitiveness of a company depends on a number of factors that interrelate within economic, social and environmental.
