Abstract

The article includes information about the Electronic Journal Portal at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). It is a qualitative study, presenting definitions related to scientific communication, electronic scientific journals, free access to scientific information and the process of creating the UFRN Journal Portal, which uses the Sistema Eletrônico de Editoração de Revistas/ Open Journal Systems in the editorial management of the magazines that integrate it. This work presents the process of creation and relevance of this digital repository for the scientific community.

Maria Aniolly Queiroz Maia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte

Graduated in Librarianship from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN (2009). Specialization in Teaching in Higher Education at Potiguar University, UNP (2011). She has a Master's Degree in Design from UFRN (2015). Librarian at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN.
