Abstract

Addresses accessibility in libraries, with a focus on e-accessibility. Introduces the concepts, principles and applications of universal design as a potentiator for accessibility. Identify assistive technology as an instrument of accessibility that enables access and use of information. It analyzes the position of Librarian in the face of new demands for access to other user profiles, as well as the effort to perform the duties of a profession absolutely, keep abreast of new information and communication technologies to be applied to accessibility. The main research aims to show how accessibility can contribute and benefit people with special needs, considering the physical, digital and technological tools for access to information. Adopted as a methodology research literature on physical and electronic. It can be concluded that the library should be an institution that included, besides allowing the use of the service users to easily and comfortably, reflects his concern for people who require special services, thus contributing in the form of accessibility to people with disabilities.
