This study aims to problematize about the teaching of history in contemporary times, the challenges that this teaching faces in a society where denialism and the advent of the "school without party" movement have been criticizing, especially teachers and their practice in the classroom. We start from some questions to reflect on the role of history teaching in the contemporary era, such as: what is the importance of studying history today and what is the role of the history teacher in this moment of questioning the discipline.
