Abstract

The article aims to present the RQDA, package of the R language for qualitative analysis, as an alternative to proprietary software for this type of research that today are quite popular, such as NVivo and Atlas.ti. First, we discuss the path of software to support the qualitative analysis of data, known as the CAQDAS (Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software). The article then presents the R language and the RQDA package, with instructions for its installation. Finally, from examples, functionalities are shown, such as files import and codings, as well as some other qualitative data analysis applications.
