Author Biography

Paulo Silveira, UFRGS – Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul / ANPAP; Editor-Chefe

Paulo Antonio de Menezes Pereira da Silveira holds a BA in Fine Arts (Drawing, 1986, and Painting, 1988) and in Communication Studies (1980) by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Master and PhD in Visual Arts (History, Theory and Criticism) by UFRGS (1999 and 2008, including period at Université Paris 1, 2006). Researcher in History and Theory of Art. Member of the Brazilian Art History Committee (CBHA), National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts (ANPAP, ??Art History, Theory and Criticism Committee) and College Art Association (CAA). Coordinator of “Fundar: research group on establishers of contemporary art” (UFRGS / CNPq). From 1982 to 2010 he was part of the staff of Editora da UFRGS (university press), coordinating the Publishing Section from 1997 to 2010.
