Abstract

From the recognition of the processuality of the contemporary theater, we will make an intersection of this phenomenon with the theoretical field of performativity. The goal is to associate the theory of performativity to the last works of the Theatre Vertigo, directed by Antonio Araujo, BR3 and Bom Retiro 958 metros. We depart from the genetic approach to the theater to examine some aspects of the creative process and the scene.

Sílvia Fernandes is full Professor in the Department of Performing Arts in Universidade de São Paulo (ECA-USP), and CNPq researcher.
