This article analyzes the theatrical career of androids, especially Geminoid F, designed by robotics engineer Hiroshi Ishiguro in its ATR laboratory in Osaka, and used on stage by director and playwright Oriza Hirata. This geminoid deceives the eye because of the similarity of their skin with that of man, and his facial expression endowed with movements of lips and eyelids blinking. In fact, the Geminoid F is a highly advanced electronic architecture, making the culmination, so far, the research carried out by Professor Ishiguro and his team. The robot is also the subject of Android-Human Theatre project, designed by Oriza Hirata, which aims to integrate the Geminoid F in a live performance and put it in a game situation alongside professional actors. Hirata stages Sayonara, The Three Sisters Android version and android version Metamorphoses, interrogating, so the figure of the actor and the creative process.
