Abstract

This article aims to discuss the idea of expanded scene in contemporaneity, considering interrelations that take place when arts meet. It also invites readers to reflect upon new trans(media) teaching methods for performing arts.

Author Biography

Gabriela Lírio Gurgel Monteiro, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro

Gabriela Lirio is Professor of Theater in Universidade Federal of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and founder and coordinator (2013-2015) of the postgraduate Program in Arts of Scene at the School of Communication (ECO-UFRJ). Graduated in PUC- Rio  (Journalism, 1995),  Master (1999) and Doctor of Literature (2004).  She also participated in PhD Sandwich Programme  in Theatre at Université de Paris III (Sorbonne-Nouvelle, 2002) and had already published in several academic journals (Urdimento, Sala Preta, Opercevejo, Art&Cultura, Moringa, among others). Author of ‘Cinema e Teatro: Interseções’ (2010) and ‘A Procura da Palavra no Escuro (2001), in 2016 Gabriela Lírio is in a postdoctorate at Université de Paris III (Sorbonne-Nouvelle), under supervision of Josette Féral.
