Abstract

The PUB IN project aims to strengthen periodical scientific publishing in Portugal, having among its objectives the support to the publishing community. It offers support services (manuals, tutorials and webinars), seeking to cover innovative aspects and good practices. After 2 years of activity, it is interesting to analyze the impact of this support, measuring its relationship with the implementation of innovations and good practices in Portuguese scientific journals. To this end, a questionnaire was applied to members of the editorial management (63 respondents). The results show the project's ability to influence the publication's activity, especially in more technical areas. There is greater resistance to aspects associated with a new paradigm, such as open peer review or pre-prints.
