presence of cinema and the construction of sociability spaces in Cajazeiras-PB (1950-1980)

The Cinema was the main attraction for the youth in Cajazeiras-PB during the early 20th Century. Not only the movie streaming was attractive, but mostly the meetings, the gathering and the enjoy the movie by the companion of the beloved ones. Otherwise, this gathering isn’t limited by the time of the exhibition nor the movie theater. The aim of this paper is to discuss this forms of sociability that are spread out in the city. The primary source of this analysis is the oral narratives of its citizens.
