Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to analyze if Law 12.244 / 2010 is being implemented or being implemented in the 4 municipalities of Greater Vitória / ES, considering that the deadline for implementation is ending. This issue aroused interest, as the federal government has dedicated efforts to improve education, so the school library that is inserted in this space has laws that benefit it, because it is part of the teaching-learning process of the student. Through on-site visits and by letter sent to the education departments, we sought to know the reality of libraries, a reality that only 2 municipalities have effectively moved towards the implementation of Law 12.244 / 2010. However we hope that the implementation of the law is a search and recognition by the teaching staff, family and students that the school library is a learning space.
