Within the framework of faircloughian Critical Discourse Analysis, this article proposes an articulation between the critical-discursive research model developed by Resende (2017, 2019), in line with bhaskarian Critical Realism, and Pierre Bourdieu's socio-philosophical thinking on the structuring of social life. By integrating critical perspectives from Discourse Analysis and Social Theory, it is argued that this approach allows for an expanded understanding of texts as constituents of social processes, as suggested by Chouliaraki and Fairclough (1999, 2003), especially with regard to the dynamics between objective structures of social fields and the dispositions incorporated by individuals (Bourdieu, 1996). As a contribution, is proposed a critical-discursive ontological map model that incorporates the concepts of field, habitus, doxa, nomos and capital from bourdieusian theory (Bourdieu, 1983, 1996, 2001, 2007, 2014). This model aims to provide tools to identify the relevant aspects for analyzing the relationships between discourse and the extra-discursive dimensions of social practices in different fields.
