IS HISTORY A SCIENCE: A OVERVIEW OF HISTORIOGRAPHIC POSITIONS

The article proposes to revisit a classic question: Is History a Science? The aim is to elaborate an overview of the different positions between that divided historians on this issue, evoking the works where they have been placed in relation to the debate of the scientificity of history. The debate about the relationship between historiography and the interaction between objectivity and subjectivity is also presented, as well as the discussion about the possibility that history also presents itself as an art form
