This essay reflects on some spatial-territorial phenomena directly related to the rapid and growing spread of Covid-19. For this, it takes as main references, geographic interpretations on some topics that emerge during this pandemic, and that have been addressed by recognized contemporary thinkers, in particular, the British David Harvey and the Brazilian Rogério Haesbaert. The text also addressed, in a general way, two evident and connected spatial-territorial realities of the current stage of capitalism, marks of this historical moment, which have been impacted by the spread of the pandemic: mobilities and socioeconomic contradictions.
