Editoriais
Article
Discussions – The discussions provided in the article, as well as in the interviews and reports of professional experiences, should focus on the production and problematization of scientific knowledge aimed at the elaboration, reflection, and theoretical-methodological discussion of practices and knowledge related to the area of language and discourse, bringing together studies, experiences, and researches developed under the aegis of different branches of linguistics investigation. The productions, especially in their parts of analyses, objects, and approaches, can mobilize discussions at the interface of linguistic, literary, mediatic, philosophical, institutional, and legal fields.
Title – It must be concise, in capital letters, in bold, in Times New Roman font size 12, centralized and single-spaced, followed by the English translation.
Authors – Insert, below the title, with right alignment, the full name of the author(s) in direct order, only with the initials in capital letters, in font Times New Roman size 12. Use a sequence of letters “i”, as a superscript in the surname of each author and coauthor, as an endnote to identify and present the institutional affiliation of each one involved. The information must appear in the endnote (last page of the text) in font Times New Roman size 10, with title, institutional affiliation (center/department/laboratory/ and the institution of work or development of studies and research), link to access the curriculum lattes, ORCID registration number and email address.
Abstract – The text must have a minimum of 150 and a maximum of 200 words, presenting, according to the conditions and typology inherent to the genre, the theoretical and methodological guidelines of the research, study, article. It must have up to 4 (four) keywords, separated by a period and with initials in capital letters. The use of expressions, compound words, and terms of dubious meaning must be avoided. The author must present an English version of the abstract and the keywords.
Introduction – As the initial part of the text, it must necessarily present, in an objective way, the delimitation of the subject and issues addressed, as well as the objectives, methodology, and moments covered in the production.
Body of the article – It presents the verticalized organization and detailed exposition of the addressed subject. The sections and subsections can be used, considering the disposition of their titles and subtitles, for a better hierarchization and delimitation of the contents.
The image copyrights and other intellectual properties must be respected. The minimum limit of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages must be obeyed. The page layout must be 3 cm for the top and left margins, and 2 cm for the bottom and right margins. In all the text, the font must be Times New Roman, size 12, with the first line of each paragraph indented by 1.5 cm. The examples, fragments, quotations, presentations of images and tables, should follow the general guidelines of specific NBRs of ABNT, in its latest version. The line spacing in the body of the text must be 1.5.
The quotations with more than three lines must be size 11, simple-spaced, and with 4 cm indentation; the quotations of up to three lines must be integrated into the body of the text and be marked between quotation marks. Titles, subtopics, or topics of the text must be without indentation, only with initials in capital letters, and in bold.
It is necessary to number the titles of the topics, subtopics, or sections of the text, except the introduction, conclusion, and references. The titles and subtitles must be numbered sequentially, using the progressive numbering system (1, 1.1, 1.1.1), without a dot between the last numeral of the sequence and the initial word of the section title.
Figures, illustrations, and images – Figures, illustrations, images, tables must be inserted in the text, on a single page, with 12 points spacing before them. Since it is not possible to arrange on the same page, force a page break or use an Office Word resource to break the section.
All titles of figures, illustrations, images, tables, and frames must be centered if they have less than one line. If there is more than one line, they must be justified with a 0.8 cm indentation on each side. Such titles should be placed at the top, in size 8, bold, with 6 points spacing before the figure. Do not use the period in the title. Such guidelines must also be observed when indicating the sources. The non-observance and non-attendance of these points imply the refusal of the submitted production and the impediment of this for the accomplishment of the ad hoc evaluation phases.
Conclusions – The conclusions should present the range of implications and effects of the study, article, research, for the area of linguistic research, as well as objectively situate the contributions and problematizations of the proposal achieved in the aegis of the relationship between language and discourse. The conclusions must correspond directly to the objectives of the study.
References – The references must be complete and follow the ABNT guidelines: the authors must be cited in alphabetical order, without number, and without any indentation between lines; the author’s last name in capital letters, followed by a comma and the other name(s) and surname(s) in full. The title of books, magazines, and annals, must be in italics; the title of articles in the normal letter; if there is more than one work by the same author, its name must be replaced by a dash of six strokes; works by the same author(s) and the same year must be differentiated, using sequential letters of the alphabet - a, b, c … - immediately after the date.
Interviews
The interviews must be in plain text, within the content and structure specifications (layout, spacing, font type, and size) mentioned in the articles section, including the name of those involved and institutional affiliation. The transcribed interview must follow the question-answer pattern, and the authors - the one who interviews and the one who is interviewed - must be identified in each turn by the initials of each name, or equivalent nomenclature, in capital letters and in bold. In the case of choosing to present the names of the interviewee and interviewer, they must be arranged in bold and only with the initials in capital letters.
The interviews must mobilize questions and answers, in the turn-taking model, recorded in writing and without the need for official transcription of speech. There is no need to present titles and keywords. The text must bring a summary that highlights the motivations, content, and contributions of the production, in order to justify the importance of its publication in the journal. In this summary, the names of the authors should be presented along with considerations about institutional and labor affiliations.
The proponents who interview and the recipients who are interviewed agree and express full and irrevocable responsibility for the statements, ideas, contents of any order or nature presented in these texts. The standard of submission and the rules for presenting the material to the editorial committee follow the rules detailed in this general set of guidelines of the journal.
The total length of the interview text should not exceed 15 pages.
Reports of professional experiences
The reports of professional experiences is a space for sampling and presentation of pedagogical experiences - which are or may have been linked to research projects, university extension, institutional projects, which are the most varied and of the most diverse orders, or of an individual nature - that appear as proposals already carried out by teachers and researchers in general and within the scope of public and private education and in the different scopes and levels of teaching activity. The publication of productions of this type, in the future numbers and volumes of this journal, must be guaranteed in the specifications a, b, c, d, e, f, provided in the submission policies section. In the specific case of specification a, it is allowed, for the reports of experiences, the citation of up to 5 names that appear as authors responsible for the action developed or performed. In the event of presenting more than 3 names for the authorship of the action, two of them must necessarily be linked to the research level stricto sensu.
