This article analyzes how comic strips have their configuration modified when broadcast on social networks. The study works with two hypotheses: 1) the changes do not alter the marks of the genre, marked by the production of a humorous sense; 2) changes in story composition molds are responses to digital platform impositions on how content should be aired. The analysis is based on examples of series produced by Brazilian cartoonists. The theoretical scope triggers work on comic strips and their circulation in digital environments, as well as approaches on the characteristics of social networks. The final results confirm the two defended hypotheses.
