"Vai pensando aí...": a função modal da PM "aí" na escrita colaborativa de escolares

Abstract

In this paper, we will analyze the functions of “aí” as a modal particle (PM), playing the role of a face preservation strategy, in speech acts, in imperative utterances. PM are lexemes responsible for accentuating the speaker's attitude towards the utterance. We will evaluate a corpus that had 2,656 turns of speech, in spontaneous dialogic texts of a newly literate dyad, while it combines and writes the production of short stories, within the methodology of Collaborative Writing. In this work, we will try to pragmatically record and describe the uses of the MP “aí” in the schoolchildren's conversation and analyze the function of this particle in the utterance.
