Abstract

The increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence with Information and Communication Technologies to mediate the processes of creation, organization, access, dissemination, and retrieval of information strengthens the relevance of Information Literacy in contemporary times. Objective to analyze the scientific production indexed by Scopus that explores the relationship between Information Literacy and Artificial Intelligence. The research adopts a quantitative-qualitative approach and has an exploratory-descriptive nature. Data collection was carried out through a bibliographic survey in Scopus, using the search string (“Information Literacy” AND “Artificial Intelligence”) in the keyword field. After applying filters and analyses, 20 articles aligned with the study’s objective were selected to compose the analysis corpus. The data were examined with the aid of four software tools: Microsoft Excel, Ucinet, NetDraw, and VOSviewer, enabling the creation of graphs, tables, co-authorship networks, and keyword networks. The intersection between Information Literacy and Artificial Intelligence is still an emerging research field, but since 2023, there has been growing interest in the topic among researchers from different countries. Given the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence into Information and Communication Technologies, it is essential to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to Information Literacy, so that these technologies and the information they provide are used in an ethical, appropriate, and efficient manner.
