: Stereotypes and stereotypy processes are social representations (AMOSSY, 2022) present throughout human history that have intensified in the world with the influence of globalization and the media on the individual and social formation of human beings. They permeate different discourses. Political discourse and tourist discourse, for example, are fertile places for the constitution and circulation of stereotyped images and representations of a country, a people or subjects language users. In this sense, based on discursive studies (FOUCAULT, 2008, 2009; AMOSSY, 2022; CHARAUDEAU; MAINGUENEAU, 2020), this article aims to analyze discursive practices in which it expresses: i) the stereotypes of countries and their relationship with the media and propagation of national images and identities; ii) the gender and sexuality stereotypes in the tourism discourse; iii) the gender stereotypes and political violence against women candidates and elected officials.
