In this research, we aim to analyze the dialogical relationships and axiological positions expressed in online comments on posts from the Brazilian web page “Sensacionalista” about the ineligibility trial of former Brazilian president, Jair M. Bolsonaro. To this end, we have as a central theoretical base Bakhtin's (2011; 2016) ideas about language, discursive genre and dialogical relationships, Volóshinov's (2017, 2019) works about axiological positions, as well as studies about comments of Recuero (2012), Alves and Santos (2013), and Bertucci and Nunes (2017). Methodologically, the research has a qualitative approach, with a descriptive and interpretative nature of the data. The corpus consists of 461 (four hundred and sixty-one) comments, of which 10 (ten) illustrate our investigative undertaking selected from two posts on the web page “Sensacionalista", on Instagram, about Bolsonaro's ineligibility trial. The analysis shows that the comments reflect the ideological polarization in the country, with internet users defending their convictions and confronting their opponents, very committed to reproducing the positions they believe to be true. Therefore, the results indicate that the space for publishing online comments tends to be configured in an environment of dialogical relationships conducive to the confrontation of axiological positions and different perspectives of meaning.
