This article aims to investigate doctoral researches on literacy(ies) that has been defended in Postgraduate Programs (PP) of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Pernambuco in the last 15 years. Specifically, the study seeks to: a) map the thematic contents approached; and b) verify the theoretical affiliations mobilized in those works. Methodologically, it is classified as meta-research (Paiva, 2019), with an exploratory-descriptive nature (Gonsalves, 2018) and qualitative approach (Chizzotti, 2000). It relies on the analysis of theses published in the CAPES Theses & Dissertations Catalog. It uses the Content analysis (Moraes, 1999) to categorize and analyze the corpus. The 14 theses are organized into 3 categories: academic literacy(ies) and textual/discursive genres; digital literacy(ies); literacy(ies) and inclusion.
