O processo de leitura em língua espanhola: uma proposta didática

This paper aims to present a didactic proposal for the reading and interpretation of Spanish texts. To do so, we chose the short story El almohadón de plumas, by Horario Quiroga, one of the most important short stories in Latin America. Our proposal is guided by Candido's (2002, 2004) humanizing view of literature, as well as by Soares' (2011) notion that the schooling of this art should be done properly. In addition, our methodology is based on the stages of the reading process presented by Menegassi (2010): decoding, understanding, interpretation and retention. With this, we hope that students of the Spanish language will become more critical readers and know how to interpret and appropriate the thematic content of the text.
