Resumo

A proposta deste ensaio está em, através de um diálogo entre Roy Wagner e Marilyn Strathern, refletir sobre o par conceitual “sociedade” e “indivíduo” e a sua naturalização na antropologia, bem como acerca dos efeitos desta apreensão na produção de conhecimento nas ciências sociais. Destarte, através da discussão das noções de “socialidade” e “pessoa fractal” refletiremos sobre a necessidade da antropologia desafiar constantemente o modo sistêmico de explicação, que impõe a criatividade do pesquisador sobre a do seu interlocutor.

ABSTRACT

The proposal of this article is to think the conceptual pair “society” and “individual” and the consequences of its naturalization in the anthropology through a dialogue between Roy Wagner and Marilyn Strathern. We will thereby discuss the anthropology's necessity of defying constantly the systemic way of explanation, which imposes the anthropologist's creativity over his interlocutor's, through the notions of “sociality” and “fractal person”.
