Capital social
uma revisão teórica na perspectiva sociológica

Este artículo consiste en una revisión teórica sobre el concepto de capital social desde una perspectiva sociológica. La exposición está organizada en torno a un conjunto de nociones que, en nuestra opinión, abarcan las propiedades centrales para comprender el capital social: normas, confianza, redes y gobernanza. Del examen de la literatura especializada identificamos que las normas y valores constituyen la base sobre la cual se forma el capital social a partir de la creación de condiciones favorables para la cooperación y el desarrollo de la confianza mutua; el intercambio de conocimientos y conocimientos contribuye a la creación de redes de confianza y acceso a recursos colectivos; las prácticas deliberativas contribuyen a la formación de capital social a través de la legitimación argumentativa, la igualación de diferentes formas de percepción de la realidad y la circulación de información que mejoran los procesos de toma de decisiones y, finalmente, la gobernanza se relaciona con el capital social en la medida en que implica compartir poder, potenciando las expresiones de los actores sociales que participan en una acción colectiva. Se espera que el presente texto contribuya al debate sobre el tema en cuestión y a la profundización del uso del concepto de capital social en los más diversos ámbitos de la realidad social.
