The dossier "African Philosophies: Plural and Anti-Colonial Voices" presents a diverse collection of articles exploring the rich and multifaceted African philosophical tradition. Addressing themes ranging from Afrocentricity and Candomblé to decoloniality and epistemological plurality, this dossier aims to highlight the unique and significant contributions of African philosophies to contemporary thought. The selected texts discuss the integration of quilombola knowledge, the philosophy of pluriversality, racism and colonialism in the educational context, as well as reflections on Afrocentric identities and the importance of terreiros as sacred spaces. By bringing together these plural voices, the dossier provides a platform for anti-colonial dialogues and promotes a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of African philosophies.
